U Mobile extends network access to new MVNO VIBE Mobile in Malaysia

U Mobile adds VIBE Mobile as an MVNO partner, offering access to its 4G/5G network for data, domestic/international services and roaming.

U Mobile extends network access to new MVNO VIBE Mobile in Malaysia

U Mobile has added VIBE Mobile to its list of strategic MVNO partners, using its wholesale 4G and 5G network to support the new brand’s launch in Malaysia. The deal positions U Mobile as the core connectivity provider while VIBE Mobile focuses on service design, branding, and customer engagement.

The move also fits U Mobile’s stated plan to build a broader partner ecosystem anchored on its next generation 5G network.

U Mobile’s MVNO access offer: 4G/5G plus roaming

U Mobile said it will provide VIBE Mobile access to its next generation 4G and 5G network for data, domestic and international services, and roaming capabilities. Under the collaboration, VIBE Mobile can rely on U Mobile for core mobile connectivity while shaping the service experience around its own go-to-market priorities.

U Mobile also describes the arrangement as enabling partners to enter the market using its existing network capabilities, with the stated goal of broadening consumer and business choice in Malaysia.

VIBE Mobile’s setup within the Elite Links supply chain

VIBE Mobile is part of the Elite Links supply chain and distribution company. For U Mobile, adding a partner from that distribution ecosystem supports its stated aim of enabling partner-led service design rather than forcing every new brand to build its own network layer.

U Mobile says the approach supports businesses that want to develop and scale new digital services in Malaysia, using the operator’s connectivity foundation as a baseline.

How U Mobile frames the “partner ecosystem” around Ultra5G

U Mobile describes the VIBE Mobile collaboration as part of a broader effort to build a more dynamic partner ecosystem anchored on its next generation 5G network. In its view, that next generation 5G network is designed for scale and flexibility so partners can bring new mobile and digital services to market faster.

U Mobile also says partners can differentiate for specific customer segments using its connectivity, and that it will look to provide its network capabilities to support partner-led innovation.

Network funding and Ultra5G launch timeline

Separately, the article states that U Mobile signed a ten-year syndicated financing deal with four Malaysian banks worth just over US$1 billion to fund capex for its 5G network rollout. The article also states that U Mobile officially launched Ultra5G—its standalone 5G network—in August 2025.
