HPE raised its networking outlook at its Networking Investor Day, said cumulative AI network orders for fiscal 2026 should exceed $3 billion, and disclosed a $1.2 billion AMD Helios order from Vultr.
Rami Rahim framed the update around AI demand, saying the pace of change in the data center is extraordinary and that networking has become a more strategic part of the AI infrastructure stack.
HPE’s data-center networking forecast stretches to fiscal 2029
HPE is estimating that revenue in its data center networking business will grow at roughly 50% CAGR through fiscal 2029. The company also raised its fiscal 2027 networking revenue target and now projects growth in the high teens to low 20s.
Rahim said HPE is bringing standards-based Ethernet to a new layer of the data center stack. He said that move opens a large addressable market, but HPE did not attach a separate dollar value to that market in the disclosure.
Helios ties HPE, Juniper, Broadcom and AMD together
HPE said its integrated AMD Helios package will support AMD’s Helios AI rack scale architecture with integrated scale-up Ethernet networking. The system will feature a purpose-built Juniper Networks switch based on Broadcom’s 102.4 Tbps Tomahawk 6 network silicon and will use the Ultra Accelerator Link over Ethernet specification.
Rahim said HPE believes Helios represents more than $1 billion in networking opportunity over the next two years and that networking trade orders have already exceeded $200 million. HPE said the Vultr deal is its first order for the new integrated AMD Helios system.
What this means for network infrastructure buyers
The disclosures give buyers a concrete set of terms to benchmark: HPE’s stated AI network order outlook for fiscal 2026, its revised networking growth target, and the first public Helios order value. The Helios stack also shows how HPE is packaging Juniper networking, AMD’s rack-scale architecture, Broadcom silicon and UALoE into one offer.
Partner program and services remain part of the plan
On November 1, HPE will merge the Juniper and Aruba programs into a unified partner program called HPE Partner Ready Vantage. HPE said all 60,000 HPE partners will be able to sell the full networking portfolio through the program, and that only around 10% of Aruba Networking and Juniper partners overlapped before the acquisition.
Rahim also said HPE currently gets about one-third of its networking business from services and expects to increase services attach rates by five percentage points by fiscal 2028. Separately, Rahim said HPE expects routing revenue to grow at a low-to-high 20% CAGR from fiscal 2026 through fiscal 2029.
