HPE announced major advancements to expand its self-driving networking strategy across AI factories, data centers and the enterprise edge, including AI data center networking, Agentic AIOps and new security innovations.

The update also extends HPE’s AI Data Center Solution to include HPE Networking switching and management, and introduces a unified AI-native SASE platform to converge SD-WAN and cloud-delivered security in a single AI-native console.

Agentic AIOps expands across HPE Aruba Central and HPE Mist

HPE said new capabilities support HPE Networking CX wired access switches in the HPE Mist platform, and expand HPE Marvis AI-driven insights and self-healing automation in HPE Aruba Central.

HPE also positioned the integration of HPE Aruba Central and HPE Mist AI as part of its agentic enterprise vision, aligning shared agentic capabilities, common hardware and consistent AI-native operations.

Within that integration, HPE described wired capabilities that include AI-native visibility, zero-touch provisioning, wired assurance for layer 2 access, dynamic PCAP, service-level insights and HPE Marvis AI-driven actions. HPE also said the trusted actions include wired port remediation to extend autonomous operations across its networking portfolio.

New AI data center features target faster RCA and remediation

HPE introduced new AI data center features that use agentic reasoning to speed root cause analysis and remediation.

On the switching side, HPE said it is strengthening its networks for AI workloads with new HPE Juniper Networking QFX Switches optimized for inferencing and scale-up architectures, including deeper integration of HPE Juniper Networking data center switching and operations into the HPE AI Data Center Solution.

HPE said the AI Data Center Solution expansion integrates HPE Juniper Networking QFX Switches managed through HPE Networking Data Center Director, adding to a full-stack AI infrastructure spanning compute, networking, storage, software and services.

Product-specific items include the HPE Juniper Networking QFX5140 Switch, described as designed for inference clusters and edge AI use cases. HPE described it as delivering performance and scalability for the growing inference market. HPE also discussed the HPE Juniper Networking QFX5252 Switch tray for AMD Helios as a scale-up module for the AMD Helios AI rack-scale platform, intended to deliver low-latency, high-bandwidth switching to maximize AI infrastructure performance at scale.

Predictive maintenance and agentic remediation inside HPE Mist

HPE said it expanded data center operations within the HPE Mist platform by adding proactive maintenance using predictive analytics.

It said AI and machine learning (AI/ML) are used to predict system and optics failures with a high-confidence level well before they occur, and that the predictive analytics include intelligent multidimensional visualization intended to prevent network outages and deliver higher application resiliency.

HPE also described an advanced reasoning agent for high-confidence remediation that continuously reasons across diverse data streams. It said this includes millions of TAC cases and a contextual graph database from HPE Networking Data Center Director, and is intended to deliver precise root cause analysis (RCA) and actionable remediation in the data center network.

Unified AI-native SASE brings SD-WAN and SSE into one console

HPE announced a new unified AI-native SASE platform built on HPE Networking EdgeConnect and powered by advanced firewall technology.

HPE said the unified SASE platform converges SD-WAN and cloud-delivered security in a single AI-native management console, with integrated SD-WAN and Security Service Edge (SSE) for simplified management and consistent policy enforcement.

HPE described faster zero trust adoption via an embedded SSE connector that deploys without installing additional ZTNA connectors or infrastructure, alongside a dedicated Secure Web Gateway (SWG) tunnel that extends protection against web-based threats to all devices, including IoT devices. It also said SSE connector plus Private Edge supports “sovereign SASE” by keeping traffic within the corporate boundary without hairpinning through cloud SSE PoPs.

HPE said AI-native operations in the SASE platform include accelerating issue resolution and detecting security gaps through natural-language interaction and intelligent analytics with a SASE copilot.
