Paratus Namibia launched Eutelsat OneWeb LEO satellite service for residential and enterprise customers, with capped and uncapped packages for users in areas where reliable connectivity is limited or unavailable.
The company also says customers can use its customer management platform for greater visibility and control over data usage. For enterprise users, Paratus is positioning the service as a secondary or backup connection for redundancy and business continuity without the cost or complexity of a second fixed line.
Deployment terms in Namibia
Paratus says the service is backed by the wider Paratus network. That matters because the company is offering the OneWeb service as part of a broader package rather than as a standalone satellite product.
Andrew Hall, managing director of Paratus Namibia, said the company has considerable LEO experience across the continent and can bring that scale and technical expertise to customers in Namibia. He also said customers anywhere in the country, especially those in areas where terrestrial connectivity is limited, will have a reliable alternative backed by a team that already knows how to deploy and support LEO connectivity across Africa.
The November 2025 Eutelsat agreement
The Namibia rollout follows a multi-year agreement signed with Eutelsat in November 2025 to extend OneWeb LEO services in Southern Africa. Schalk Erasmus, chief executive of Paratus Group, said the agreement supports Paratus’s deployment of LEO connectivity in South Africa, Angola, Namibia, Botswana and Zambia.
Starlink remains in the portfolio
Paratus also incorporates Starlink in its portfolio through a reseller agreement signed in 2023. The company has since launched Starlink services in nine African markets, most recently Uganda in August.
Read for satellite connectivity buyers
The disclosed terms give buyers a clearer view of how Paratus is packaging OneWeb in Namibia: capped and uncapped plans, customer management tools, and an enterprise backup use case. The same operator is also running Starlink through a separate reseller agreement, which gives it two LEO options in market.
