Flolive and Skylo extend IoT comms across Brazil

Flolive and Skylo Technologies announced integrated cellular and satellite connectivity services to extend IoT communications across Brazil.

The service lets devices use cellular coverage where terrestrial networks are available and switch to Skylo’s NTN service where coverage is poor or unavailable.

Brazil partners and customer reach

Flolive partners in Brazil include iuh! Digital, a digital telecom operator and MVNO, and NLT Telecom, a Brazilian operator specializing in IoT. Flolive says the combined connectivity capability will be brought to customers across Brazil.

That gives the rollout a local delivery base, but the announcement stays focused on the service bundle itself: terrestrial connectivity where it exists, satellite where it does not.

What Flolive and Skylo say they already have in place

Flolive says it delivers multi-network cellular connectivity in Brazil across two national cellular services.

Flolive also says it supports local and regional compliance requirements across approximately 214 countries and regions.

Skylo says its non-terrestrial network is live across five continents and licensed in 41 countries. It says more than 20 mobile network operators route traffic across its network.

Chipsets, modules, and no dedicated terminals

Skylo says its capability ships in commercial chipsets and modules, allowing IoT deployments to reach satellite without dedicated terminals or new hardware.

Skylo says it extends its partners’ networks rather than competing for their customers, preserving carrier and partner control throughout.

What this means for Brazil IoT buyers

The disclosed setup gives buyers a single service path for cellular coverage in populated areas and NTN fallback where terrestrial coverage is weak or absent. It also gives Brazil-based partners iuh! Digital and NLT Telecom a service they can take to customers across the country.

For operators and integrators, the comparison point is straightforward: the announcement pairs local cellular reach with satellite fallback without adding dedicated terminals.
