VIKAND partners with LEDGID for seafarer digital trust healthcare integration

VIKAND partnered with LEDGID to integrate maritime healthcare into LEDGID’s seafarer digital trust ecosystem, with updates planned for Posidonia 2026.

The collaboration is aimed at combining LEDGID’s secure, seafarer-centric digital trust infrastructure with VIKAND’s expertise in maritime healthcare and wellbeing, and it positions VIKAND as an integral medical partner across the LEDGID service.

The companies say the work is still at an early stage and is intended to explore how healthcare services and medical-data capabilities could be integrated into a wider digital maritime ecosystem in the future.

LEDGID’s neutral trust framework meets VIKAND healthcare services

LEDGID CEO Henning Davies said the partnership brings together digital innovation and essential services to better support seafarers.

Davies also said LEDGID is creating new opportunities to improve access and efficiency across the industry by connecting people and services through a neutral trust framework.

Medical-data integration remains a future exploration

VIKAND’s role is framed around integrating healthcare services and medical-data capabilities into a broader digital maritime ecosystem over time, rather than a fully deployed end-to-end offering right now.

Both companies say they see significant opportunities to improve how essential services are connected and delivered within the maritime industry, while the collaboration remains at an early stage.
