Indosat launches Zankore AI data center plan with Nokia and Nvidia

Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison has launched Zankore by Indosat with the wider Ooredoo Group, Nokia, and Nvidia, and the plan targets up to 1 gigawatt of AI data center capacity.

Indosat says Zankore by Indosat lays the foundation for one of the region’s largest AI infrastructure platforms. The project is intended to enable the next phase of agentic and enterprise AI adoption at scale.

What sits behind the 1GW buildout

Indosat plans to eventually deploy 1 gigawatt of Nvidia DSX infrastructure capacity. Nokia will provide AI networking, while Nvidia will provide GPU hardware and AI software for the project. Ooredoo Group will provide long-term capital for the project.

What this tells telecom and cloud buyers

This is a capital-heavy AI infrastructure push, not a generic data center rollout. For enterprise AI and cloud teams, the relevant signal is that Indosat is tying connectivity, AI networking, GPU supply, and funding into one platform instead of treating them as separate buys.

Ooredoo said it was investing 800 million dollars to help develop Zankore. Nokia, Nvidia, and Indosat previously paired last year to launch an AI-RAN research center in Indonesia.
