MVNO Virtueyes is launching a multi-carrier SIM card for the IoT market, offering connectivity on the Vivo, Claro and TIM networks.
The SIM is designed to automatically alternate between the operators when there is no signal from one of them, aiming to improve continuity for tracking deployments.
How the multi-carrier SIM is supposed to work
Virtueyes says the multi-carrier SIM provides connectivity with Vivo, Claro and TIM. It further states that the SIM automatically switches operators when there is no signal from one operator.
Virtueyes positions the approach for fleet monitoring and asset tracking, including use cases involving containers and pallets. It also says it offers IoT connectivity management platform where companies can manage their devices.
Expo timing and statement on reliability
Virtueyes is presenting the launch during Exposec 2025, a security technology fair that starts in So Paulo this week. In a statement released on Monday, 9 June (2025), the company said the launch reduces the risk of failures due to lack of signal and increases tracking reliability.
Shandrus Carvalho, Vice President of Virtueyes, said the solution is essential for security-technology companies that need monitoring and tracking while assets are in motion. Carvalho also said the solution is effective to help prevent theft and enable a better consumer experience for e-commerce shipments tracked in real time.
Investment plan and move beyond Claro-based SIMs
Virtueyess strategy includes a planned investment of R$40 million over five years. The company also says it has authorization to build its own 4G and 5G network infrastructure, focused on delivering connectivity for IoT and M2M projects where coverage is still a problem.
Until then, Virtueyes had already offered SIM card solutions based on an agreement to use Claros infrastructure.
