BE-YND Group has acquired Typ B.V., the Zeist-based specialist in recruiting and placing cybersecurity professionals on interim assignments. The deal adds a dedicated security label to the BE-YND Group platform, which also includes Linden-IT and Linden-TE.
Typ’s role in the BE-YND Group platform
Typ was founded by Fred Smulders and has become a known name in the Dutch cybersecurity market over the past few years. It brokers security specialists for permanent roles and interim assignments across the cybersecurity, IT, and public sectors.
The acquisition gives BE-YND Group a way to fold that specialty into a broader staffing stack. Typ will keep operating under its own name and with its current team.
Leadership stays in place
Fred Smulders and co-shareholder Wouter Bongers will stay with the company and keep an ownership stake in the new structure. That limits the visible change on day one even as the business moves under BE-YND Group control.
Gerbert Jan Valk, CEO of BE-YND Group, said cybersecurity is the fastest-growing specialization within IT and also the hardest to fill. He said Typ has proven it makes a difference in this niche market.
Read for Telecom Industry buyers
The disclosed terms are less about telecom than staffing mechanics: Typ keeps its name, keeps its team, and keeps its founders involved. For buyers, the relevant change is that BE-YND Group now combines general staffing through Linden-IT with a security-focused label that can serve demand for cyber profiles.
Fred Smulders said the deal gives Typ access to a much larger network of clients and professionals without changing the company’s identity. He said Typ will keep doing what it does well, but with more capacity.
