Telenor agrees to buy Enivest for NOK 2.5 billion

Telenor agreed to acquire Enivest for NOK 2.5 billion, or about $264 million, in a fiber deal that adds 28,000 customers in Western Norway.

Enivest is headquartered in Førde and brings its fiber network plus a 34% stake in regional service provider Årdalsnett, which has 3,000 customers.

Deal terms and operating setup

The transaction also includes Enivest’s 50 staff. Telenor will cross-sell its security and entertainment offerings to the Enivest customer base, and the two companies will continue to operate as separate companies.

Scale in regional fiber

The deal gives Telenor more scale in a fragmented regional footprint. RCR Wireless says Telenor is acquiring Enivest to consolidate regional infrastructure and expand broadband scale after major rollout completion.

Read for fiber consolidation teams

This is another European fixed-access transaction built around customer base expansion rather than a network reset. For operators and investors watching regional fiber economics, the structure matters as much as the price: Telenor is buying scale, but leaving the brands and operating companies in place.
