Odido describes NB-IoT (Narrowband Internet of Things) as a Narrowband IoT LPWAN built for IoT devices that need low power and limited data transfers.
In its positioning, NB-IoT runs on existing mobile networks such as LTE, but uses a much smaller frequency band to deliver low costs, very low power consumption, and good coverageincluding inside buildings, basements, and underground.
The same Odido page also draws a hard line on mobility: it says NB-IoT does not support handovers and that roaming is limited, so it is not suitable for moving devices or vehicle tracking. Instead, it points to static deployments such as smart meters, warehouse sensors, smart parking sensors, and smart bins that can send an alert when full or almost full.
