Amazon Leo will offer low Earth orbit connectivity in the United Kingdom through an authorised reseller agreement with UK Connect. The deal gives Amazon Leo a route into the UK market while UK Connect adds another satellite option to its portfolio.
UK Connect said customers in construction, manufacturing, warehousing, and logistics will be able to use the full range of Leo terminals. That puts the reseller agreement squarely at enterprise buyers that already depend on mixed connectivity setups and want satellite as an added layer rather than a standalone network.
UK Connect also said the Ultra terminal supports maximum download speeds of 1 Gbps and upload speeds of 400 Mbps. That speed profile is the sharpest commercial detail disclosed in the brief and gives buyers a clearer benchmark for where the terminal sits in the product line.
Signal for enterprise satellite buyers
For satellite-enabled enterprise connectivity teams, the UK deal shows Amazon Leo extending its reseller model into another market. For operators and integrators, the relevant number is the Ultra terminal’s 1 Gbps downlink and 400 Mbps uplink claim, which will be the figure to compare against other terminals in UK bids.
