Miros logs more than 10 offshore deployments in Brazil and Guyana

Miros secured more than 10 offshore technology deployments across South America in the first three quarters of 2026, led by Brazil. The company also booked deployments linked to offshore operations in Guyana (via www.worldoil.com).

Deployment mix spans monitoring, spill detection and vessel work

The deployments include real-time wave and ocean monitoring and oil spill detection technologies. Miros said those systems support subsea construction, offshore vessel operations, drilling-related activities and environmental response.

The company said the latest agreements involved both new and existing customers. Repeat business extended its systems to additional vessels and offshore assets.

Brazil stays at the center of the South American push

Brazil accounted for most of Miros’ offshore technology activity in South America during the first three quarters of 2026. Miros said the 2026 activity followed additional offshore technology awards in Brazil and Guyana in the final months of 2025.

The deployments span offshore support vessels, marine response vessels and drilling-related assets. Miros said real-time ocean data are being used to support operational decision-making across subsea operations, drilling, vessel operations and oil spill response.

The company works with local partner Belga Marine to provide technology and in-country support in Brazil, including oil spill detection systems.

Miros keeps investing in Brazil capacity

Miros said it continues to invest in engineering, commercial resources and customer support in Brazil as it targets further offshore energy opportunities across South America.

Droam Perspective

For offshore operators and marine response teams, the story is less about a single large contract than a pattern of repeat deployments across Brazil and Guyana. Miros is tying the same monitoring and spill-detection stack to multiple vessel types and drilling-related assets, with Brazil doing most of the volume. The disclosed partner setup with Belga Marine also shows the company is leaning on in-country support rather than selling the kit in isolation.
