Odido launches Teams Phone Mobile with Microsoft in the Netherlands

Odido launched Teams Phone Mobile with Microsoft in the Netherlands, and Odido says it is the first provider in the country to offer the service. The product is built to fold mobile numbers into Microsoft Teams so companies and employees can communicate through one business mobile number.

The launch is not framed as a standalone voice play. Odido and Microsoft positioned the service around integrated communications for hybrid work, with fixed and mobile communications running on one platform and users able to keep calling from a business mobile number while using Microsoft Teams functions.

Odido also said the service provides synchronized call history and status information and is intended to improve efficiency and security. The company planned to launch Teams Phone Mobile on Thursday, October 3, and the article says the Netherlands is the tenth country for Microsoft to use the service, with Odido the sixth operator to adopt it.

Read for enterprise Teams buyers in the Netherlands

For enterprise buyers already standardized on Microsoft Teams, Odido is now selling a bundled mobile-and-Teams option rather than a separate voice product. The relevant signal is the claimed first-in-market position in the Netherlands, which makes this a reference point for other operators watching Teams-integrated mobility offers.

Odido’s event pitch in Utrecht

Odido hosted its Business and Partner Days event at Stadion Galgenwaard in Utrecht, where the company said hundreds of business customers and partners attended. Microsoft product head Vandana Thomas traveled from the United States to speak at the event about the new solution.

Odido also used the event to push its broader business story, with Martijn Teekens, Chief Business Operations at Odido, saying: “At Odido, we believe technology exists for people, not the other way around. Whether it is our unique Teams integration or the capabilities of our leading 5G network, we create digital acceleration and a world full of new opportunities for everyone.”
