NTT DOCOMO BUSINESS, TRANSATEL and Zscaler have launched Cellular SASE for IoT for the global IoT market. The companies say it is the first solution of its kind offered by a carrier in Japan.
The service combines TRANSATEL’s global mobile connectivity with Zscaler’s zero trust security to provide cloud-based security and flexible connectivity for IoT devices and enterprise mobile endpoints. It does so without conventional VPNs or software agents on devices, and it is designed to secure connectivity between IoT devices, cloud environments and corporate IT systems.
TRANSATEL’s global MVNO network covers more than 200 countries and territories. The solution supports multi-carrier path redundancy without separate contracts in each country. NTT DOCOMO BUSINESS says its X Managed service can provide centralized support, and the company says it is certified under Zscaler’s MSSP program. Zscaler’s Nathan Howe said the expanded partnership will bring a cellular security solution to the global IoT market.
