NTT DOCOMO BUSINESS is preparing to add GSMA SGP.32 eSIM support to its IoT Pro offering. The company says the service is scheduled to become commercially available in March 2027.
What changes in IoT Pro
IoT Pro is intended to help companies manage large connected fleets from a common environment. NTT DOCOMO BUSINESS says the offer is aimed at international deployments and at manufacturers that activate, monitor, and secure equipment distributed across several countries.
Support for SGP.32 is meant to let customers download or change an eSIM profile through the portal or an API after products have been shipped. With docomo business SIGN Pro, NTT DOCOMO BUSINESS wants to consolidate SIM activation, suspension, and termination into a portal or API, while teams monitor connection status, traffic, and performance in Japan and abroad.
Security and incident handling
The platform includes automated alerts for network anomalies. It is designed to detect abnormal exchanges between devices and malicious servers, and teams will be able to block traffic at the level of the affected SIM if a connection is deemed risky.
NTT DOCOMO BUSINESS says the platform is intended to speed up incident diagnosis by combining network data and security alerts in one interface. Teams will be able to compare outages, configuration errors, and malicious activity before intervening.
What this means for IoT fleet operators
The disclosed terms give enterprise IoT teams a specific benchmark for remote eSIM provisioning and SIM-level response controls. The March 2027 date also sets a window for operators and manufacturers planning international device launches around SGP.32.
In countries that restrict permanent roaming, a local profile may help with adaptation. The article also says companies could switch to another network without physically replacing the SIM.
