Jazz reaches 1,000 5G sites in Pakistan, targets 2,500 by year-end

Jazz has reached 1,000 5G sites across Pakistan and plans to raise that figure to 2,500 by the end of 2026. The operator says the network already covers 10 cities and that it has the largest 5G footprint in Pakistan.

How Jazz is building out the network

Jazz CTO Khalid Shehzad said the rollout needs a network that can handle different connectivity requirements across Pakistan. He said the operator is combining multi-band spectrum, advanced radio technology and modernized infrastructure to increase coverage and capacity.

That matters because the site count is not the only number Jazz is leaning on. Jazz acquired 190 MHz across the 700 MHz, 2300 MHz, 2600 MHz and 3500 MHz bands in Pakistan’s 5G spectrum auction earlier this year, taking total holdings to 284.4 MHz.

What Jazz has committed to spend

Jazz pledged to invest US$1 billion in 5G after the auction. The operator said it has invested about US$12 billion in its Pakistani business to date.

For operators in Pakistan, the useful benchmark is not the slogan but the disclosed scale: 1,000 live 5G sites, 10 cities covered, and a target of 2,500 sites by year-end. Jazz’s disclosed spectrum position and spending commitment show the operator is pairing coverage expansion with a deeper asset base.
