U Mobile officially launched its Enterprise Innovation Platform Hub on Friday, giving enterprises a sandbox to collaborate on real-world solutions using 5G-Advanced and artificial intelligence.
The EIP Hub was first announced in January. U Mobile says the platform is meant to bring together enterprises, technology partners, academia, advisors, and public sector stakeholders to develop, test, and demonstrate 5G-Advanced, AI, and other emerging technologies before scaling them.
U Mobile also says the hub is intended to reduce implementation risks and accelerate enterprise adoption of 5G and AI while helping deliver faster business outcomes.
Four demos and 15 partners at launch
The launch event featured four in-house demonstrations: visual intelligence for real-time operational monitoring, a digital twin using 5G, IoT, and AI for predictive asset management, 5G drone patrolling and data capture for autonomous inspection and surveillance, and humanoid robotic autonomous intelligence.
U Mobile CEO Wong Heang Tuck said the company wants to create an environment where organizations can explore new technologies, develop practical solutions, and scale innovations that create measurable business outcomes via its 5G-Advanced infrastructure.
The EIP Hub currently hosts 15 partners. Anchor partners include Amazon Web Services, Huawei Malaysia, Palo Alto Networks, and Qualcomm. Technology partners include Braintree Technologies, China Mobile International, Meraque Group, and ZTE Malaysia.

The launch gives U Mobile a public way to package 5G-Advanced and AI as a test-and-scale environment rather than a straight network pitch. For enterprises, the meaningful detail is that the hub is already working with 15 partners and has brought four application demos to the launch stage.
