Thales, Singtel Group and Bridge Alliance unveiled a multi-operator enterprise eSIM connectivity network for large-scale IoT deployments across Asia-Pacific. The companies said it lets enterprise customers deploy and manage IoT devices across multiple operators and countries through a single platform.
The companies also said the multi-operator eSIM connectivity network is the first of its kind. They framed the platform as a way to simplify the lifecycle management of connected IoT devices across the region.
Interop tests in four markets
The platform passed interoperability tests with Singtel in Singapore, Optus in Australia, AIS in Thailand, and Globe Telecom in the Philippines. That makes it ready to support enterprise IoT deployments across the region.
Bridge Alliance’s operator footprint
Bridge Alliance is a Singapore-headquartered business grouping of 36 mobile operators with a presence in Asia-Pacific, Europe, the Middle East and Africa. One of its goals is to provide enterprise and IoT solutions across multiple markets, and plans are in place to expand the platform to additional Bridge Alliance operators.
Read for enterprise IoT buyers
The immediate read for enterprise IoT teams is that the platform is not a single-operator pilot. It is positioned for multi-country deployment from the start, with interoperability already demonstrated across four operators in four markets.
