BICS ties Starlink, Syniverse and Google Cloud into one June brief

BICS ties Starlink, Syniverse and Google Cloud into one June brief

BICS expanded its work with Starlink, Syniverse and Google Cloud in a June brief that also put its eSIM Hub back in the spotlight. The story is less about a single launch than about how BICS is trying to sit in more of the traffic between mobile, satellite, cloud and IoT.

IPX remains the common layer

BICS provides a high-capacity global IPX network and connects more than 180 countries through it. The company also says it has 143 points of presence, 20 submarine cables and more than 700 direct connections, which is the scale it is leaning on across the different partnerships.

Its alliance with Syniverse dates to March 2026. Through that alliance, national operators can give customers access to standalone 5G abroad with near-zero latency.

Starlink puts satellite into the mix

Since November 2025, BICS has been Starlink’s preferred IPX provider in Europe. That partnership enables direct smartphone-to-satellite connectivity in areas without terrestrial coverage.

The satellite angle matters because it moves BICS from transport plumbing into a role that can support direct device connectivity, not just back-end roaming and interconnect.

Google Cloud extends the voice layer

BICS expanded its collaboration with Google Cloud in April 2026. The partnership lets companies migrate legacy PSTN systems to the cloud through Google Workspace without physical infrastructure.

Multinational companies are deploying unified telephony in more than 40 countries without on-site physical infrastructure. That makes the Google Cloud tie a commercial extension of BICS’s IPX footprint, not a separate side project.

IoT is still part of the pitch

BICS’s IoT expertise is applied in financial services through its alliance with NuvoLinQ and Kigen. The partnership produced an ultra-secure connectivity solution for electronic payment terminals.

BICS says its embedded AI intercepts 80% of smishing attacks in Europe, and its eSIM Hub won an IoT Breakthrough Award. The eSIM Hub secures IoT devices from payment terminals to connected fleets.

Read for roaming, cloud voice and satellite buyers

For operators, the Syniverse and Starlink links point to a supplier that wants to touch both roaming-grade transport and direct-to-device satellite connectivity. For enterprise buyers, the Google Cloud tie is about PSTN migration through Google Workspace without on-site infrastructure. For IoT teams, the eSIM Hub award and the NuvoLinQ-Kigen work show BICS is still pushing device security as part of the same stack.
